Biography / Memoir | Australian/Aotearoa

Peter Di Sciascio is a gay man who resides in Melbourne, Australia. While he has done some writing for journals and book chapters, these last few years without employment has seen him embark on more substantial projects?self-published books. This book will be his third, and the first for which he is editor.Peter saw a need for the average LGBTIQ person to have a voice about what's happening in their communities. To say that the last 60 years has seen a massive upheaval for these communities is an understatement. Peter approached a range of LGBTIQ people who were working and living at the coalface of change. He thought that an anthology of essays might capture these diverse voices. He asked them for an essay on a topic they know well. There was no need to research the topic. They could write from their experiences, observations and draw conclusions. Peter also asked that the essays be controversial, visionary, or deigned to make the reader think. The resultant book contains essays and poetry covering diverse topics such as Lateral Hostility and Gender Performance. It is hoped that the book will spark conversations about the many controversial, visionary and thought provoking topics.
